Software services company Wipro Ltd on Tuesday posted a net profit of Rs 2,192 crore for the July-September 2017 quarter, and increase of 6% compared to the previous year, Reuters reported. The IT services firm had posted a profit of Rs 2,067 crore for the July-September 2016 quarter.

The company, headquartered in Bengaluru, also posted a revenue of Rs 13,469 crore for the second quarter of 2017, a decline of 1.4% from the Rs 13,661 crore it earned in the first quarter, MoneyControl reported.

In the IT services segment, the company earned a profit of Rs 2,080 crore for the second quarter, a sequential growth of 4%, The Economic Times reported. “We surpassed the milestone of $2 billion (Rs 13,000 crore) in quarterly revenues for IT Services on the back of rigorous execution of our firm’s strategy,” Wipro Chief Executive Officer Abidali Z Neemuchwala said.
